Spring Resolutions
Long ago, I used to think I could make people move New Year’s to the first day of spring. I thought all I had to do was convince a few people that it was more appropriate. They would then go on and convince others.
And so on…
Hey, I was 6.
I’ve toned that down quite a bit, but I still believe that the first day of Spring is a better time to set Resolutions than New Year’s is. Or at the very least, to reevaluate your New Year’s Resolutions, discard the ones that are not worth it, reinvigorate the ones that are, and add new ones.
I know it’s not a unique idea, but I am simply casting my vote.
PS: I think I am going to rewrite the song “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” to refer to Now.
Christmas is great, but the freezing cold is no fun for a desert-weaned lad such as myself.
