HS Adapting to you over time
I mentioned that HS adjusts its targets automatically according to how well you do. In the pic below, the red curve is adjusted, and the light-yellow is the original targets. (screenshot from pre-alpha version)
The idea is: if you are having a good streak, HS will help you maintain it. If you are having a bad streak, HS will either go back to the original targets, or even lower (depending on what you choose). In the latter case, your goal number may also go down; this is useful when you don’t know what your upper-limit is ahead of time (e.g. for running or cycling).
I spent a long time tweaking this so that a spike in productivity doesn’t have a huge impact on future targets, but consistent “above target” results will steadily bring your targets up. On the other hand, a sudden drop in productivity will trigger a “helping hand” drop in targets, if you so choose.
All of these features are hidden in the betas I’ve released, because they’re not tested yet. Once I fix the bugs in the current version, I’ll enable this feature.
