About Me

DSC04138_croppedI am a physics PhD student at McGill (in Montreal, Canada). Over the course of my Master’s, I learned some programming and software development.

For a couple of years, if I needed to start a habit, I used an equation I developed. This equation would take my goal number (”500 words/day”) and my goal date (”by next month”), and output daily targets that I had to reach.

When my brother wanted to quit smoking, I plugged-in the numbers (”goal of 0 cigarettes/day by next month”), and gave him the targets.

It worked for him, and it worked for me. We are so completely different, that I thought “Hey, this will work for a lot of people.”

So, I started developing HabitShaper. This blog is where I track my progress and post updates on new features.
