Definitive Test Result?

The Installer needed some more tweaking, but eventually it worked all the way through.
I can now officially say that HS requires only Windows XP, and the installer takes care of everything else!
Along the way I found some minor bugs that may explain some problems beta-Testers were having.

The Definitive Test of the HS Installer

I now have access to a computer that’s 100% fresh off the WinXP CD.
That means it has absolutely nothing installed on it, no Windows Updates, nothing.
If I can get HabitShaper to install on that, I’m golden.
It’s actually overkill, because it is highly unlikely that there’s still a WinXP out there that has never once been [...]

Installation woes

I am aware that for some people, the installation of the Beta did not go very smoothly (to say the least).
I have put all other work on hold until I fix this.

New beta version, already!

I’ve incorporated some of the early feedback into a new version. Those of you that received my link by e-mail, you can download the latest version from the same place.
Improvements over the first beta version:

Overview window much improved. Including the ability to drag the view rectangle.
Added ability to change a goal’s display name.

Overview window improved

Based on some early feedback, I realized the overview window is very important and needs a lot of work. Here is my progress so far:
